Grades 1 & 2 - Tommy Young
Welcome!
Welcome to the homepage for our Classroom! My name is Tommy Young and I have been teaching at the Waitsfield School since 2000. Prior to joining the Waitsfield Staff, I taught two years in the Commonwealth of the Marianas Islands (on the island of Saipan) and 1 year at Brookside Elementary School.
I am married to Angela Young and have two daughters named Julianne and Abigail. Julianne is entering her sophmore year at RIT and Abby is starting 11th grade at Harwood.
My classroom is based upon a cooperative approach, where the room is developed with all of the students needs in mind. From our classroom rules to the differentiation of instruction, each aspect is carefully crafted with your child's needs in mind.
I hope you enjoy looking around my page and find the information useful.
Peace,
Mr. Young

Virtual Open House 2021
This year Open House will be virtual. I ask that you do three things with your children. Look at the photos at the top of my classroom web page. Ask your child; "What is going on here?" Then watch the open house video that is linked here
https://youtu.be/OIXpbLoyofU.
To finish off your open house experience, go to this
link to hear the story your child made about themselves and if you wish to learn about some of their friends.
When you are done, email me 1 thing you enjoyed about the virtual open house. My email is
