Services

Starting Fall 2020: I will be available Mondays-Fridays 7:30-2:30


Services provided for all students:
Individual Counseling: Referrals for Individual Counseling occur through the request of a parent, teacher or student. At the school level, individual counseling is short-term (6 to 8 weeks) and seeks to address barriers that may be getting in the way of a student being the best they can be. Should a student need on-going service past the 6-8 services I provide, a referral to a local mental health provider will be offered.

Small Group Counseling: Referrals for Small Group participation occur through requests made by parents, teacher or as identified in services by a team. Sessions typically last 6-8 weeks and are offered throughout the year based on student needs. This type of counseling environment allows students to give and receive help from peers who may be experiencing similar feelings or situations. 

Sessions are agreed upon time with the classroom teacher to minimize the absence of direct instruction. If you have any questions about these counseling services, please feel free to contact me!

Classroom Themes

The counseling program this year will be called BEST SELF! These lessons are  comprehensive and developmentally appropriate lessons that are delivered for each grade weekly. Classes are approximately 45 minutes and follow the VT Framework for Health Education Standards as well as the HUUSD Learning Expectations.
