Grade 3&4 - Elizabeth Belknap

Welcome!

Throughout my twenty plus years of teaching, I have taught grades PK-5. My years of experience have given me a solid understanding of child development and learning. I've learned how important it is to meet children where they are developmentally, and to teach to the heart.

Therefore the beginning of each school year is spent building trust and making connections. Classroom expectations are modeled and practiced following the Responsive Classroom approach. Relationships built on mutual respect serve as the backbone of our community

Typical Schedule

Monday: Music, French
Tuesday: P.E./Health, Art
Wednesday: P.E.
Thursday: Guidance 1/2 yr
Friday: French & Library

*A more detailed schedule goes home at the beginning of each year.

Homework

Please have your child read 20-30 minutes nightly. It is best to keep this routine over the weekend as well. If you need help choosing books please let me know!
