Grade 3&4 - Elizabeth Belknap

Throughout my twenty plus years of teaching, I have taught grades PK-5. My years of experience have given me a solid understanding of child development and learning. I've learned how important it is to meet children where they are developmentally, and to teach to the heart.

Therefore the beginning of each school year is spent building trust and making connections. Classroom expectations are modeled and practiced following the Responsive Classroom approach. Relationships built on mutual respect serve as the backbone of our community

Typical Schedule

Monday: Music, P.E., French
Tuesday: Art
Wednesday: P.E.
Thursday: Guidance/Health 2x per month
Friday: French & Library

*A more detailed schedule goes home at the beginning of each year.

Typical Homework

Students will have no more than 30-40 minutes of written homework Monday-Thursday. All students are expected to read for at least 20 minutes every night. A more detailed homework schedule is sent home at the beginning of each year.
